A very belated Christmas post about the jumper I made for my twin brother @freddy_schulp 🧶 I followed the wonderful kit from @weareknitters for their Banksia Sweater by @knitwitsandyarns ! It was my first time trying colour work and I’m so pleased with how it turned out - I think Orion the cat and Dessie the dog would quite like one in their size too! #banksiasweater #weareknitters

This hat was created for a Christmas present and it was such a joy to knit! Using two strands gave it a lovely mottled effect, it was also my first time knitting in the round and was almost entirely done on my commute too and from work each day! 🐏

With Christmas coming up it’s very tricky to post about the things I’m making as most of them are presents 🎁 so I’ve been doing lots of looking back at what else I’ve made over the year! My regular 9-5 doesn’t include much making but back in July I did have the opportunity to put together a plaque reveal, I used the most lovely navy velvet I’ve had in my fabric pile for a while and it looked to lovely when it was all pleated up!

Wonderful finds from the most amazing stall inside the flea markets at Porte de Clignancourt

I’ve wanted to go to the markets at Porte de Clignancourt since I was about 13 and saw a video of Hamish Bowles going as part of his Vintage Bowles series - and finally managed to make it there last week!!

I picked up some metal pinking shears (which for €15 where worth the risk of getting them through the euro star security to bring them back) as well as the most spectacular tiny mother of Pearl buttons which could not be left behind, and finally some floral fabric which I’m yet to decide what to turn into yet, but I’m sure one day will!!
